You Got Me Prizes!

Photo-A-Day #1918

Allison and Eva went to Target today to pick up things for Eva’s prize basket. Eva’s prize basket is something new that we are trying to coincide with potty training. We’ve been working with Eva on her training and she is doing pretty well. We decided that we would try a system where if she goes on the potty and not in the pull up she gets a sticker. When she fills up a row of stickers she will be able to pick a prize from her prize basket. She’s not quite getting the whole putting off the prizes thing and she figures that every time she goes into the bathroom she get s a sticker.

I don’t talk much about things like the potty training like my fellow dad bloggers. I don’t think there is anything particularly wrong with talking about it but I figure that when Eva starts dating I don’t want her dates googling embarrassing stuff about her. So when I write about her I tend to keep out anything that can be googled against her later in life. That is also why, for the most part I don’t go posting embarrassing or bad photos of other people. I try to present everyone I photograph at their best. Of course, posting old grade school photos of friends doesn’t count. 🙂

  1. Nice Daddy Blogging Policy! I’m sure Eva will be very appreciative…but I don’t like to think about her growing up…let alone with boyfriends!! She’s an iddy biddy! We need to call Peter Pan stat!

    1. Mo,

I don’t like to think of her with boyfriends either however it is gonna happen. Don’t worry she’s got uncles and me to watch out for her virtues.

  3. I think Eva will get a great electronic scrapbook when she gets older. Just think about how she and then her grandchildren can look back and she more than just baby photos when she is old.

I am slowly trying to do this with Whitney on my blog. She is 10 now and sometimes just doesn’t want to stop for the picture even though she enjoys the posts when she sees them online.

Keep up the good work Drew. As always, I continue to enjoy your posts.

    1. Martha,

I think that Eva will certainly have that and I am happy to be her digital scrapbookologist. Glad you are enjoying the posts, thanks for the continued reading.

  4. Eva was doing well her and getting stickers here at the Cape. Some people need to have embarrassing photos of them shown.

    1. Dad,

I think I show enough embarrassing photos of myself up there anyway to cover most people. Eva filled up her first row this morning and was able to get a prize 1st thing. She’s been doing well.
