Zen and the Art of Driveway Painting

Photo-A-Day #1798

Zen moments can occur anytime. For me it was painting with water and sponge brushes on the driveway with Eva today. She was having so much fun just putting ‘paint’ on the ground. After that she went and started running all over the place laughing like crazy. It was a moment that I caught on my Flip. As I was filming Eva got more and more giggly about running. She had so much fun. There are a bunch more photos in this album.

Another good meeting at Financial Peace University. Tonight was about getting the best bargains. I’m not the best person to get deals. I’m getting much better at it though. I am pretty good at asking for things. I’ve been really fortunate to get some fantastic gadgets and opportunities just by asking for them, but never in the retail world. I’ve got to work on that.

    1. Amanda,
That is a pretty cool photo. I think Eva would love doing a painting at WDW like that. She has not seen a Nightmare Before Christmas yet, a little old for her I think. We haven’t been to that event either. We did see some of the Halloween stuff though. I’ll have to keep my eye out for water paintings next time we go.

  1. I had a teacher at Worcester State that taught Urban Systems ( now called Urban Studies) he said no price is fixed whether you are talking about working a contract for a business or walking into Sears to get a TV. Nobody gets a deal by not asking. His advice was simple ask the person point blank “Is that the best deal I can get ?” if they say “yes” walk away. As you are walking you can bet that they will stop you and tell you when the next sale for that product is. If they don’t you can always go somewhere else or go back later.

    1. Deborah,

It was great because I could just let go and relax and enjoy playing and creating to create, not to keep anything (except photos). And Eva having more and more fun was so wonderful.
