They Did It ...

The Red Sox have ended their World Series drought of 86 years. In the 100th World Series our beloved Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals for a long overdue victory.

The question now is "What are Boston fans going to complain about now?". I mean our Baseball team won the World Series, our football team won the Superbowl. I personally can't get behind a bunch of overpaid hot doggers in Basketball so rooting for the Celtics went out with Larry Bird (for me at least). So what about the Bruins... um yeah, the Bruins. Lets just stick with Baseball and Football.

It was great to see that the Sox won and it is great to have been able to be home to see it happen.

I believe that the celebration parade will most likely be Saturday. For details check out Boston.com.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
