Harry Potter VI is DONE ...

I may have to break my resolve for book buying to get my hands on the next Harry Potter Book: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. J.K. Rowling announced today that Book VI is done. Seeing as I’d gotten books 4 and 5 on the days they came out and read them within the next two days thereafter, I may have to save the gift cards I have so I can buy that book (Which doesn’t break my pact with myself because tecnically a gift card for a book store is not the same as paying cash or putting a book on my credit card.)

I’d also like to thank my pal Meghan for getting me the first 3 books back when I was a Saint A’s working as a Residence Hall Director. And for her telling me to hurry up and finish so we could talk about the books through our entire bus trip to Montreal and back.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
