Dinner with Aunt Millie and Uncle Fred ...

Last night Allison and I went for dinner at the Moose Lodge in Attleboro with Aunt Millie and Uncle Fred. We had a fantastic meal there. The Moose Lodge is a new family restaurant that is in Attleboro over near Sturdy Memorial Hospital. It is also the future location of our Rehearsal dinner. Allison and I spoke with al Monte, the owner of the Moose Lodge and he showed us around the function room. He can basically come up with a meal for our 40+ guests that will be both delicious and inexpensive. Since they are new they are going to really try very hard to please us.

Last night while we had dinner the staff (Al’s family) was very attentive and hardworking. There weren’t a lot of people there, but I think in time this place will get alot more business. They’ve only been open for 3 weeks. I had the 1/3 rack of ribs and Allison had he 1/2 chicken, both meals were so large that we brought the rest home. We also sampled some rice mozambique and Uncle Freddie’s Portuguese Pork and Potatoes. All the meals were very good. We are looking forward to having our rehearsal dinner there.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
