Behind in My Posting ...

I've been a little behind on my updates recently. I've had some busy days at work and haven't really felt like updating when I've gotten home. The wedding plans are moving forward, we are working on the invitations now, planning on getting them out by the end of the month. Last night we ordered our guest book, it is a custom one and took a little while to get it just right. We've ordered our wedding party gifts and I am itching to talk about them (Well, at least the gift for the guys), but I have to be patient and wait till after the wedding to say anything.

We ordered a cake topper and need to contact the cake company soon to get our cake ordered. Still working on the gift for our guests, that is a project that we need to dive into soon. We did decide on most of the ceremony the other night, I think we only need to decide on the Prayer of the Faithful, and I think we are writing those ourselves. And today Allison is contacting the Bakery Arts International Bakery about the cake.

We went to the Cape over the weekend for the Falmouth Road Race. However we had no runners at the house as in years past where there were no rooms at all available. Tara didn't even get to run this year because she got a soft tissue contusion on the top of her foot that prevents her from running at all for another week. Unfortunately the timing of the injury couldn't have been worse. This summer has not felt right at all, we haven't been at the Cape house much, and when we have been down, it has been really iffy weather. Even the folks in the neighborhood have noticed that it hasn't felt right this year.

Well, hopefully next year will be better. This past weekend was crazy, I felt like I was a Residence Hall Director again. That's about all I'm going to say about that. Allison and I did go to Ed's for clam chowder at the annual post Road Race cookout. This was one of the first years that I could go there and stay for the whole cookout, and of course this was the year that Neil wasn't there. It's just how things work out.

I found this site today. CitiKitty. Toilet Train your Cat.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
