Thank You ...

Hello Fans of the BenSpark! Ready for Turkey Day? Tradition for me is to travel to my grandmother’s in Hull, MA. This year there will be 10 cousins, 2 of their spouses, 7 aunts and uncles, 2 “significant others,” and a Nana in a pear tree…all cozy in a room that shouldn’t fit a quarter of those people!! But Nana’s 82 and she likes it-so we do what we can. I’d much rather be home watching “Home for the Holidays.”

Thank you so much for putting up with me all week!! I hope that everyone enjoyed the Guest Photo A Day as much as I did…it’s amazing how much talent is out there. I’m anxious for the master bloggers, The Bennetts (awww!!), and steer the ship once again. I hope the trip was amazing, I can’t wait to see pictures…of ARUBA!!

Happy Thanksgiving, BenSpark-ers!! Enjoy your holiday and travel safe!!

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
