New Year as a Married Couple ...

Last night Allison and I went to Derek and Michelle’s for the 3rd annual New Year’s Eve Bash. In attendance was Derik and Sarah and their daughter Riley. Mike and Anna, Matt and Beth and Neil came by (Andrea we missed you, feel better soon.)

Great food as usual, Sarah made kielbasa in brown sugar, yummy. Michelle made chicken tulips, and I made Pepperoni Chicken and Pasta. Shouldn’t have told Neil what was in it and maybe he would have tried it. You’re missing out man, missing out.

Derek and Michelle and Coco were once again great hosts. We played Balderdash before the ball drop and had a great time making things up for the game. Derek was very good at that, go figure. Riley had us all smiling, she was so cute and loved Coco. Neil gave Derek Men of Honor, (Again) for their DVD exchange. I caught it on tape this time. And Derek, the look on your face was priceless. But Neil was crafty and wrapped a real gift for Derek. The book, Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
