What better way to break up the constant Christmas movie posts then with a Pirate related post. I am hanging out at my In-Laws place today while Allison and her mom go for breakfast and Dan goes to pick up Allison’s grandparents. We are having a family meal tonight at Piccola (A fine Italian restaurant in Manchester, NH). Anyway that is neither here nor there at the moment. I’ll recap that meal later tonight. But before Marcia, Allison and Dan left they told me that I could have any of the books in the bookshelf upstairs. Books, I freaking love books. And Dan and I have similar taste in what we like for books. I was going to go through and list each and every book I will be acquiring but then I thought that maybe I would save that for when I read the books. However one caught my eye that I am very interested in reading right away. That one is called Under the Black Flag the Romance and the Reality of Life Among the Pirates. I am looking forward to reading this one. I love Pirate books and especially the true pirate stuff.
The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights.
