I recently purchased a Canon SD600 Digital ELPH for Allison. She has wanted a digital camera and while I was researching a Canon SD800 IS for myself I came across the SD600 for Allison. I gave her the camera last night and we haven’t had much time to play around with it but there are some great features of the camera. It was very simple to set up and I was clicking away after about 5 minutes. It would have been sooner but I put the camera in the camera bag, added the wrist strap and all those things that you do to really get it ready. Then I used the camera to take some pictures as well as record some video. I played with my SD800 too and I really like the features of that camera. Once we use the cameras more we will start posting more information about them.
The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights.
