Tonight was the annual Father/Daughter Dance for Eva’s school. She was very excited about the event and had gotten a beautiful red dress. This was our sixth trip to the Father/Daughter Dance. We’ve been attending since Eva was in Kindergarten at the school.


We started our day with some boxing with the heavy bag. Eva asked me last night if we could do some work on the heavy bag. She has asked that we work on it a couple of times a week. I am excited that she wants to do that. I am picking up some focus mitts too so we can do some work outside, too.


Each year at the dance we take a selfie with our dessert. At Luciano’s Lake Pearl they do a fine chocolate mousse for the dessert. It is one of our favorite things to share together.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
