Last Day of School Breakfast ...

Andy came into our room this morning to let us know that he intended to make a special breakfast for the last day of school. At least he let us know first, sometimes he does not do that, he just mixes up pancake or crepes mix. He doesn’t make the pancakes or crepes but he can mix everything up. We got him to hold off until after Allison and I could go for a morning walk. However, once we got home Andy put Allison to work getting a nice big breakfast together. She made special pancakes, sausage AND bacon, strawberries and more. We had a nice breakfast and then the kids finished up their last day of school.

It was also a big day because Eva has been doing an Outschool class, she started on Tuesday. She had that and she also hosted a dance party for her school friends. I helped her set up my office with the green screen so that she could play DJ and dance around with a cool background. The girls loved this event so much they decided that they want to do one each week with a different decade as the theme for the playlist.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
