Creating A Colors of the World True Selfie

Crayola sent us a bunch of free art supplies including their brand new Colors of the World crayons so that we could make our True Selfies. Opinions are our own.Crayola has created the Colors of the World crayon packs so that kids (and kids at heart) everywhere can truly represent themselves in their skin tone. With the 24 pack there are the 24 skin tones and in the 32 pack there are the 24 skin tones plus 4 hair color and 4 eye color crayons. The crayons include colors like Rose, Almond and Golden from Lightest to Deepest.

I was asked to work with the kids to create their True Selfie and with that we used the Crayola Camera Color app which takes photos and making them black and white for coloring. I took the photos of the kids and then we converted them and printed them so the kids could color them. They took great care in determining which crayon best represented their skin tones.

Andy went all out with his True Selfie. He colored the background as well. The color that best represented him was Medium Golden. He’s been getting pretty bronze on the beach the past few weeks.

Eva has also been to the beach but she is more fair than Andy and so she chose to have Light Medium Golden for her skin tone color.

Both kids had a lot of fun working on their True Selfies. We even printed out a couple of pictures for the cousins and when they came over they had fun picking their colors as well.

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
