I’ve been walking each morning with Allison and I have been enjoying the walk but wanted to give myself a new challenge. I have a goal to lose 30 pounds. This will certainly take some time but to remind me of how much weight that actually is I bought a 30 pound weighted vest to wear while I walk and eventually wear while doing other things like planks and push ups. Some other reasons that I’ll be wearing this vest is so that when I actually have to do push ups and planks for Krav Maga I will have done them with more weight than I have myself. This, in theory should make it easier to perform these exercises without the vest.
My daily walks have been helping out a bit because today after Krav Maga class I ran with one of my friends. I was able to run the whole way around the block without stopping. Next step is to do the block twice and then build up my speed. May have to run with the vest, too.
