Strength & Kindness ...

Strength & Kindness

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #00862

Last month when I attended the John Whitman seminar at America’s Best Defense I had a photo taken with John. I posted it to Instagram and tagged him in it. Then I checked out his Instagram account and there I saw that he had this amazing shirt at his dojo that said Strength & Kindness. The message behind the shirt is this, “strength to take care of ourselves and our loved ones; kindness to support others”.

I thought that was an amazing sentiment and considered trying to order one through his organization. However, the other day I saw that the new Summer Shirt at ABD was a their version of this shirt and I love it! I bought one for each person in the family including Allison. I talked about it a bit in today’s daily vlog.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
