Andy Got His Cast Off ...

I took Andy to the doctor today for them to check out his wrist. They first took off his cast and then took some x-rays. The doctor then came to us and showed us how the break was healing really well and new bone was already growing in. He said that the growth plate looked good and the break should not hinder that and it should not contribute to any possible arthritis in the future either. Nice to be young.

Andy liked the feeling of the cast being cut off. I thought that he would have been freaked out by the saw but the nurse showed him that it would not cut skin. Andy liked the vibrations and getting the cast off but he kinda wanted a new one, too. He did not need one, he just needs an ace bandage for a while longer and he cannot do any sports or karate until the 24th. I’m very glad that he is healing up so well.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
