Andy as Bob Ross at the Living Wax Museum

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01234

At this year’s Living Wax Museum Andy was Bob Ross. He was so excited to be Bob Ross for the event. He worked very hard on his presentation as well as his report for the assignment. When we learned that he would be Bob Ross he had us take care of getting him a special wig and beard as well as a little stuffed squirrel to act as PeaPod, Bob Ross’s rescued pet squirrel.

Andy also worked on a painting to display. I picked up a special desktop easel for him to use to display his painting and he is very excited to keep using it to paint more and more.

At the end of the event we took a group photo and Andy was in the bathroom. When he came out everyone was shouting for Bob Ross and he came tearing over to the group with his giant wig bouncing like crazy.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
