Grandma’s 91st Birthday

Today I took a drive down to the Cape so that I could ride further down with my Dad to see my Grandmother for her 91st birthday. She was surprised and thrilled to see me there with dad. I did not tell her that I was coming. We were heading there to take her to lunch but instead had lunch in at the house. It was nice. I got to spend a good deal of time chatting with Grandma. We don’t get to get down often enough even when we are on the Cape. It was nice to have the time to get down there today.

Tonight was Eva’s dinner with the teachers. Eva and Allison attended. I missed seeing Eva and Allison before they headed out but Allison got some photos. Andy took this one.

Eva had a nice time. she put together a skit with some friends and that went over very well, too.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
