Today we went to the America’s Best Defense Cookout at Colt State Park. I got a little bit of sleep in the morning before we all went to the event. Speaking of sleep, Andy was pretending to sleep for much of the ride. Not exactly sure why, but when he woke up and broke the silence he broke it. Eva was going to go to her D & D group but the DM was sick. So, she came along with us.

We got there around 12:30 or so and got ourselves something to eat. Allison made a big bowl of Mexican Street Corn Pasta Salad. It was fantastic. We ate our lunch and visited with some of our friends. I had brought along my drone so that I could take some shots of the event. Unfortunately it wasn’t the most picturesque thing to shoot. The photo below was my best one.

I also had a drone mishap. I was panning backwards and flew into a tree. Luckily I was able to get it back with the help of one of the folks at our picnic.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
