All The Way Up There

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01560

I took Andy to go rock climbing today. There was no regularly scheduled class because of school vacation week in Rhode Island so the place was empty. We got there just as most of the camp kids were being picked up by their parents and it was just Andy climbing until they were finished. Allison and Eva were off to see the play, Six at PPAC tonight and I had promised Andy that we would go to Royal Fried Chicken for dinner. That place is over by Rock spot and so we tried it out after Andy finished rock climbing. It was very good with plenty of great flavor on the fried chicken. They also served other items and we may go back in another couple weeks when Allison and Eva go to another play on a Wednesday.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
