Last Day of Science School 2023

Today was the last day of Science School for the kids. Families could come to the school for the last 15 minutes of each class. We went to see Eva’s class first. We were able to see all of the artwork that she created. Eva did some great things this year and learned a bunch of awesome techniques that she can incorporate into her art.

After Eva’s class we went and walked around Woods hole while Andy had their class. We went to the MBL and WHOI gift shops, Coffee O and the harbor. When it was time we headed back to the Science School to visit Andy’s classroom.

When we got there we played a game of Pictionary. The kids won.

When we left we decided to take harbor photos again because it was a much better day. The kids had a great year at Science School and are looking forward to next year’s classes. I hope that Eva gets into photography next year. she’ll love it.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
