Visiting Blue Pride Bistro

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01729

Our local High School has a restaurant that is run by the students. It opens for tree days a week for lunch and I have been excited to try it out. I wanted to go because Andy is very passionate about cooking and baking and wants to be a part of this program when it is time for High School. I want to encourage Andy to pursue this because it is something very important to their happiness. Andy is incredibly happy for baking and for rock climbing and these things that make Andy happy are things that we will continue to encourage.

the restaurant itself is worth the trip. They really do a great job there and I am looking forward to going back. Not only is the food good quality but it is very inexpensive as well. I was able to get a Caesar salad, very good sized, a burger and a drink plus two pastries for under $20. That is pretty unheard of right now. I want to be able to take Andy there sometime but it is at the same time Andy is in school.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
