Beast Bashed ...

Beast Bashed

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01739

My giant water bottle, The Beast, had a run in with the ground today. I was getting out of my car to go into work and was probably trying to carry too much at once and it tumbled out of my hands. It banged to the ground and when I picked it up it had a very noticeable dent in the side. I’m not sure how this thing was constructed but it is dented in such a way that I suspect Styrofoam on the inside. It still works fine but now it is dented and that annoys me. Although… there is now a spot where I can place my thumb on it to have a better grip overall.

I’ve been on the search for Herr’s Fire Roasted Sweet Corn Mexican Street Corn Popcorn. I first found it at the Dollar Tree but then I bought all the bags so they had no more. I was down to m last bag and tonight at Big Lots I saw that they had four of the larger 6.05oz bags so I bought them all. I may have a problem. I also found a Mexican Street Corn flavored bag of Cheetos, it is not as good as the Popcorn, not by a longshot.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
