Building The LEGO NES ...

LEGO NES

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #01813

Andy finished building the LEGO NES set today. They really liked how you can rotate the screen and the little mario character goes through the level. It was a great design. It was also rather complex but Andy had no trouble building it. I have to find a good place to display it in my office now. Not sure if I have the room but I’ll figure out something.

christmas treats

This afternoon I decided to try out a recipe that I found on tik tok. I made a christmas candy out of peanuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, pretzels and more. I put everything into a crock pot for 2 hours then stirred it together. Then let it continue in the crock pot for another 1/2 hour and then I spooned the mixture onto Pretzels. The photo is actually of all the rest of it pressed into a brownie pan. That we can cut into squares of the candy. It came out really nice. Super tasty.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
