Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02027

Today was Andy’s last day at Johnson and Wales Culinary Camp. This was Andy’s third time at the camp and it is something that they enjoy very much. Each year the menu changes and Andy learns new things to create. We have all the menu books from past years so that Andy can make us some of the creations that they made during the week. Today was American food and I was disappointed to learn that the lunch they made wasn’t hot when they got to eat it so Andy was not that impressed with a Philly Cheesesteak. I know that Andy would love on if they had a good one.

Today parents were invited to a litte reception where we could try out the baked good that the kids made all week long. There were all sorts of tasty treats there. We tried quite a few of them.

After the reception we took a few photos with Andy and then headed home to go to Weatherlaines for dinner before I headed to the office for work.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
