What happens when you leave a whole bag of frozen cherries on the counter after getting some ice and forgetting to put them back? Well, if you are Andy then you get a lesson on how to make Grandma Eva’s pie crust and you make a pie with your mom. Allison had a whole bag of frozen cherries for smoothies and such but Andy came home and took out the bag while getting ice and completely forgot that it needed to go back in the freezer. Allison came home and asked me why I had left cherries out all day. I hadn’t but questioned myself over not noticing them all day long when I had been in and out of the kitchen and would have definitely noticed them being out.The mystery was solved when we talked with Andy. I did go out and get some vanilla ice cream to go with the pie, though.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. 2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
