Free Comic Book Day 2025 ...

Today was Free Comic Book day so instead of heading to Wild Time Comics (first time in 20 years not going to them) for my free comics I ran by the mall to Newbury comics because there was a special Energon Universe comic that I had to make sure to get. I wasn't sure if I would get the comic at my new store, The Laughing Shield. The store is great but it is small and I know that smaller places are going to have a smaller inventory. I was right because Laughing Shield allowed everyone to take 1 free comic and Newbury allowed everyone to take 3. So, I did end up getting all the free comics that I was looking for. I even found one Minecraft one for Andy.

At The Laughing Shield I picked up a new book that caught my eye, Moonshine Bigfoot. It looked as if Bigfoot was one of the duke Boys from The Dukes of Hazzard. It is a 4 issue run so that was fun.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
