Getting Started With Virta Health …

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02319

A few months ago I got a letter that was from Virat health but also through my health insurance. I wasn’t sure if it was legitimate but when I inquired further through the insurance website and also talking with my doctor I decided to check into it. The program is a nutrition and medical program for members with type II diabetes. I’ve been managing things pretty well for a while now but I figure anything else may help so I joined up. Turns out that the program actually supplies me with lots of things to help with diabetes including test strip and a new glucose monitor.; I still use the Dexcom for constant monitoring but will also do single checks with the glucose and ketone monitor. This is connected to an app where I am connected to my care team. They also supplied me with a scale and a food scale and some samples of an electrolyte drink. There is also a nutrition guide and recipe book. I get started with this in earnest on Tuesday.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.
