Today was Thanksgiving. We had a great time with our family enjoying a great meal and time together. Last night we kicked off Thanksgiving by watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The kids enjoyed it and I really liked seeing it again especially after watching "I Like Me" the John Candy documentary.
Dinner was from Firefly's and it was a really good one. We got a turkey breast and a couple of pints of brisket. Then we got mashed potatoes, corn, sweet potato casserole, cornbread and more. Allison made green bean casserole and broccoli.
For dessert we had Apple Pie, made by Allison, Pumpkin Pie, courtesy of Tara from Coonamessett Farms. We also had a turkey ice cream log from Munroe Dairy and some peanut butter and chocolate tarts from Allison. I had noticed that our neighbor, Joanie, was home and so I texted her to come over for dessert. She came over and had dessert with us. We borrowed space in her downstair fridge for the meal. It is always too much to keep in our fridge.
After dessert Mom and Dad headed back to the Cape. Allison and I went for a walk and then we watched Superman together as a family. The kids enjoyed it.
