Honey Dew Made These Special for Me

Special Honey Dew
Photo-A-Day 2.0 #00151

The other day I was looking at Instagram and the Honey Dew Instagram for our local shop had a photo up of a hand cut raised donut filled with sweet and slightly tart lemon filling and ti was glazed. This looked very much like my two favorite donuts put together. I went over to the show to buy one and they didn’t have any. They were in their Cumberland location. The instagram is for two stores.

When I went in they told me that they could make them at the Attleboro store but not that day. That made sense, you can’t go making a special donut right then and there. I know of no made to order donut places. At a donut shop you get what they have. I did go onto Instagram and comment that the donut wasn’t in the Attleboro store and that I really wanted to try it. They replied and said that they’d have it in Attleboro this morning. I replied that I’d have to buy a couple and I did. I had the one and it was very good. That’s what you get when you work with a local shop.

Review and Giveaway – Believe: A POP-UP BOOK OF POSSIBILITIES by Robert Sabuda

Believe Book Giveaway

I received a beautiful copy of the book, Believe: A POP-UP BOOK OF POSSIBILITIES by Robert Sabuda for free to review as part of my “Read to Me, Dad!” Review series. Opinions are my own.

I really liked the intricacies of this book coupled with the simple inspirational message. this is a wonderful book to give to someone for their graduation. Or to anyone who needs some inspiration in their life. Full description of the book would be:

“All of life’s possibilities are just a page turn away in this beautiful pop-up book from renowned paper artist Robert Sabuda. Phrases and images evoking potential (an acorn, an egg, a paper airplane) are answered by a glorious 3-D image on the following spread (a towering tree, a flock of birds, a rocket soaring upward). An ideal gift for graduates from kindergarten to college and beyond, Believe is the perfect way to celebrate life’s passages and look forward to new horizons.”

This is a wonderful pop-up book. You can see it in my review video below.

You can enter to win one plus a cop of Robert’s earlier work Encyclopedia Prehistorica : Dinosaurs.
