Lite Brite-Icus? ...

Lite Brite-Icus

Photo-A-Day #02599

When Allison and Eva went tot he Transformers Store in London they picked up a Funko Bitty Pop! Retro Toys set of Transformers. The way that Funko did these sets was that they had 4 different Bitty Pop! Retro Toys sets, each with a different Hasbro Retro Toys Theme. There was Transformers, G.I. Joe, Mr. Potato Head and Board Games like Monopoly and Operation. However, in these sets of four figures there was one figure that was a mystery figure. The mystery figure may or may not match the overall theme of the set. Int his case it does not match because I got Lite Brite with my Transformers.

I didn't have the heart to tell Eva that I already had this set on my wall of Transformers. She was so happy to have found something fun for me in London that was Transformers themed. And they are very cool. I opened this one because I have an unopened one on my wall. I didn't know about how they worked the "mystery figure". So now I am on the lookout for Soundwave, the figure that may or may not be in another set. I found the G.I. Joe set online for cheap money so I got that, who knows maybe I'll get him in that.

Today I picked up the ice cream that Andy and I made at Frisbie's last night. We got to taste test it. I thought that I'd get some heat from mine because of the Mike's Hot Honey but I did not. all the other flavors I put in pretty well balanced the ice cream and I am very happy with how it came out. Andy wasn't as thrilled with theirs because it had an overwhelming flavor of honey to it. They di put in a ton of Mike's hot honey so that is why. But we now have tons of ice cream.

Tonight was also the last rehearsal before Tech Week for The Winter Wolf. There is a lot to get completed before opening night next Friday but I think we are going well. I'm getting great direction from Alex and I have 95% of my lines down pat.Still having some struggles with a few but I'll keep on immersing myself into the lines as I practice. Luckily, sunday my counterpart will be back and we can play off each other. The lines feel so much better from her than anyone who has stepped in to read them this past week. I think that threw me a bit. It is hard to play off someone stepping in not having an idea how to do the role. So, I can sympathize with anyone who had to play off me those two times I had to come in at the last moment to play a lead role in a play. However, they had played off me many times before that as I was often the ne stepping in to take on a role of someone who was missing.

Today I also competed our taxes. Not only taxes for Allison and I but Eva's first ever tax return. Gotta get ready for applying for financial aid for college. I also got Andy signed up for Johnson and Wales Kitchen Camp for this Summer.

Review: Lumibricks Izakaya Building ...

The folks from Lumibricks sent me their latest building set, the Izakaya for free to build and review. Opinions are 100% my own. I've built a few sets from Lumibricks (formerly FunWhole) in the past and they are really fun and interesting. The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

2025 Family Ornament ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02515 We put our tree up the other day and I had already bought the 2025 Hallmark Keepsake ornament for our yearly family photo ornament. I love these ornaments on the tree. We have them from 2005 to now.

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
