Tons of Pop Tabs ...

Tons of Pop Tabs

Photo-A-Day #02853

We have a customer at the Pretzel Factory who works next door at Edible Arrangements. Her name is Kaylee and she comes in all the time and buys Monster Energy drink. Those drinks have special colored pop tabs. Andy has been making really cool little beetles with the pop tabs. I asked Kaylee if she would mind saving them for me so I can give them to Andy. She said sure and that she also had a ton of pop tabs at home that she and her sister had been saving for years. Yesterday she came in and handed me two large bottles full of tabs.

Today I woke up and heard Andy sorting through them all. They had poured them all out and was separating them into different colors and types. Apparently there are a bunch of soup container pop tabs as well. In Andy's words "There is an alarming number of soup tabs." Yes, yes there are. That very large pile off to the right of Andy are soup tabs. Andy is not sure what they can make out of them but I am sure it will be something fun.

The photo above is of the Izakaya and also The Apartment. they are both part of a Cyberpunk theme called Neoncity. At this time there are also two additional buildings that you can build and add to this whole theme, the Game Stack and the Floating Train Station. The great things about these sets is that they light up. As you build you are also adding lights and wires and ways to illuminate the amazing build. Once you're done building you fire up some power and the lights blaze up. With Neoncity sets you get some incredible Nenon effects light signs and even neon tube lights. That is one of the coolest things about these sets is how the lights are incorporated into the build. Some very innovative bricks were made in order to thread the wiring...

Christmas Tree Is Up ...

Photo-A-Day 2.0 #02510 Yesterday we put up the trees and today we decided to decorate the tree after dinner. Our tree is now mostly our family photo ornaments. We have a bunch of ornaments but with over 20 years of family photo ornaments it look like the predominant ornament type that we'll see. We did get a 2025 Hallmark one as well and I have to select this year's photo.
